THEN ENTER THE FILM HOLLERS PSAs Contest

Make short films that shout out about the importance of music and music education to our children and our community. Teens in grades 6 to 12 will create Public Service Announcements (PSAs) of 30 seconds long, using Microsoft Office Moviemaker (available on library computers). These PSAs will stress the importance of music education by focusing on Black and African American musicians and the impact of music on our lives. Teens will submit their PSAs to the library to be judged by a panel of City of Allen employees. YOU CAN EMAIL YOUR ENTRY TO allenlibraryteenscape@yahoo.com.
Contest begins December 14, 2009.The original deadline was January 23, 2010 but the NEW DEADLINE IS SATURDAY, JANUARY 30TH BY 5:00 PM.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes awarded.
The winning PSAs will be aired on Channel 16. The Presentation Program for teens and their families will be on Thursday, February 18 in the evening.
The video needs to be no smaller than 640 pixels wide X 480 pixels high (or 640X480).
